What to bring
- Winter – Warm clothing, warm hats, gloves, sunglasses
- Summer – Sunscreen, Sunglasses
- N.B this is a outdoor activity so please dress accordingly.
Restrictions
- Wheelchair access is limited at our river base access; however, we do have an access point that we can arrange alternative pick up. Please call or email ahead to let us know so we can arrange this at no extra cost.
- Handheld devices are permitted on the jet boat (at your own risk as the jet boat goes fast & turns often) We suggest chest, head or wrist mounted devices. We take no responsibility for lost or damaged personal devices while on our vessels or vehicles.
Transport Options
Self-drive
You are required to be at front desk at Highlands Motorsport Park 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time. Goldfields Jet base is located at Highlands 5 Minutes’ drive from Cromwell, 1 hour from Queenstown Central, 45 Minutes from Frankton and 45 Minutes from Wanaka.
Operating times & weather conditions
Goldfields Jet operates every day of the year (river and weather conditions permitting) except Christmas Day and Boxing Day!
How to get to Goldfields Jet
Leaving Queenstown heading towards Cromwell through the Kawarau Gorge on SH6 past Mrs Jones’ Fruit stall.
Leaving Wanaka toward Cromwell (past Cromwell turn off) toward Queenstown.
Please allow an at least an hour for travel to arrive at our base at Highlands Motorsport Park (Check in at the front desk).
